How to Create a Coupon

  1. Log into the Event you would like the coupon to apply to 

  2. Go to Marketing Tools > click on Coupons.

Click Add Coupon and choose:

  • Create unique coupon(s): Manually name the code.

  • Generate multiple random coupons: System will generate random alphanumeric codes.

    • Coupon Name: The code participants will enter at checkout. (Cannot be edited later.) example: SAVE25

    • Discount Type: Choose from Percent Off, Amount Off, Fixed Price, or Reusable Gift Card.

    • Coupon Value: The dollar amount or percentage off.

    • Coupon Applies To:

      • Cart Total: One discount per transaction.

      • Each Cart Item: Discount applied to each eligible item.

    • Expiration Date: Date after which the coupon becomes invalid (expires at 11:59 PM).

    • Coupon Is Valid For: Select categories or entire event.

    • Custom Questions: Apply discount to custom questions with a cost, if applicable.

    • Notification Settings: Get notified via email when your coupon is used.

      Fill out the Coupon Details:

  2. Save your coupon.

Setting Coupon Usage Limits

You can control how many times a coupon can be used by filling in the "Number of Uses Per Coupon" box during setup.

Note:
Regardless of your settings, each coupon can only be used once per cart. The system does not allow a single code to be applied multiple times within the same checkout.

 

To make a coupon single use: Enter "1" in the box. This ensures the code can only be redeemed once.

Example: You’re creating 100 unique codes to be used one time each. Generate multiple codes and set Number of Uses Per Coupon = 1 to prevent sharing or reuse.

 

To allow a single code to be used multiple times: Enter the number of allowed uses.

Example: You want to create one code for 100 participants. Set Number of Uses Per Coupon = 100.

Managing Existing Coupons

To edit, view usage, delete, or share a coupon:

  • Click the three dots next to any existing coupon.

  • Share codes directly using the Email Tools to reach past participants.

Multi-Event Coupons

To use a coupon across multiple events:

  1. Go to Event Director Tasks > Multi-Event Coupons.

  2. View all active and expired coupons under Multi-Event Coupon Codes.

View and Revive Expired Coupons

The Coupons page defaults to showing all active coupons. To view expired coupons, simply click on "Expired Coupons." You can edit an expired coupon to update its usage or expiration date and bring it back to life!
