Event directors can use the Series feature to:
- Promote a multi-day event that allows participants to sign up for the whole event or only parts of the event.
- Allow participants to sign up for a whole race series for one price, or when a team or club offers a series of related races, such as a weekly training race, to sign up for each series race separately.
Benefits
- Automatically manages field limits for each event category.
- Participants who sign up for an entire series are automatically added to the dataset for each individual race, so the event director only needs to download one start list for each race, and field limits for each race will be maintained.
- Custom questions (event-specific questions) copy from the main category into each sub-category within a series. This is helpful for event directors who want all participant data collected at every event in the series. For a weekly series, each week will contain all the registration data from the full series setup.
Set Up a Series
- Create a separate event for each race in the series.
- Create an event page for the whole series.
- From the Event Setup side menu, select Category Setup.
- From the Category Setup page, select Edit next to the category that will be the series category.
- Scroll to the Additional Details section and toggle the Series Setup switch to the On position.
- Expand Series Setup, open up each event, and select the specific categories to add to the series.
- When you have finished, click Save Changes.

Helpful Tips
- To simplify the process of creating each race in the series and the series registration, you can use the Renew an Event feature. When creating the series page, be sure to set the dates of the event to encompass the entire series.
- As an event director, consider when you want registration for the series to close - before or after the first event.
- Be sure to set the field limits correctly in each event’s categories and to leave the field limits blank on the series categories. Once the field limit has been met in one category, registration for that category of the series will no longer be open, and participants will have to register for remaining open events on each event’s registration page.
