If you need to limit the amount of participants in your event, there are multiple options for doing so:
Total Event Registration Limit
You can set a total participant limit from the General Event Setup screen.
This limit applies to all categories combined, excluding waitlists. Once the limit is reached, registration will automatically close for all categories not on a waitlist.
Use this setting to manage overall capacity and ensure a smooth event experience.
Category Field Limits
When creating or editing a category, you'll see a Field Limit option. This allows you to set the maximum number of participants for that specific category. This counts online, manual, and reserved entries.
Once the limit is reached, the category will automatically close or, if enabled, open the waitlist.
Use this setting to manage capacity and ensure balanced participation across categories.
Category Group Limits
This limit will apply to the combined total of all entries across the categories grouped under that header. Once the total number of participants across those categories reaches the limit, registration will close or waitlists will open—depending on your settings.
This is a great way to manage capacity across grouped categories while maintaining individual category flexibility.
