Use Team Setup in Category Setup to allow participants to register as a team: perfect for team time trials, tandem bike events, relay races, or family pricing.
How to Enable Team Categories
In the left hand menu, click Event Setup > Category Setup.
Choose an existing category to edit or create a new category.
(If new) Fill in the required fields in the General section.

Scroll to the Team Setup section and toggle Team Setup ON.
Click the gray Team Setup box to enter team details.

Set your minimum and maximum number of team members.
If your pricing changes based on team size, create a separate category for each (e.g., one for 6 person teams and another for 12 person teams).

Choose whether the entry fee is charged per team or per participant.
Note: Payment for the entire team is required at checkout regardless of charged per team or per participant. This sets the price for the system to charge.

(Optional) Enable “Allow Team Captains to invite Team Members to fill out information later?”. This will allow the first team member to enter participant email addresses so that their teammates can fill in their own personal details.
Important: If you enable the option above, make sure Edit Entries is enabled in your General Event Setup (see article link).
Click the green Save button to apply your changes.

Participant Experience
When a participant selects a team category, they’ll enter their own details along with the names and email addresses of their teammates.
Alternatively, you can allow the team captain to invite teammates by entering their email addresses so they can complete their own registration forms.
The participant who first creates the team becomes the team captain. Each teammate will automatically receive an email with a link to complete their information.
Note: The team captain pays for the full team during checkout, regardless of your fee structure.
