How to Edit or Update Your Event
To make changes to your event, go to Event Setup and click General Event Setup.
Note: all items with a red asterisk (*) must be filled out. You can always go back and make changes to this page at a later date
Event Basics
Event Title & Type: Enter your event name.
Event Type & Secondary Event Type: Select your Event type from the dropdown menu. This determines where your event appears on athleteReg calendars.
Use this dropdown to list your event in multiple categories (e.g., by region or sub-type).Covering Service Fees: Choose a percentage if you want to cover part of the athleteReg service fee. The amount you cover will be subtracted from your disbursements.
Location
Enter your Event's address
No exact address? Zoom in on the map to mark the start location manually.

You must also provide:
City
State/Province
Zip/Postal Code
These are required for your event to appear in calendar listings and search results.
Dates
Set your event's online registration open and close dates
Tip: Most event directors close registration 2 days before the event to prepare bibs, waivers, and packets.
Contact Info
Enter the event website (optional).
A phone number and email address for the main registration contact are required.

Sanctioning
In the Sanctioning section, you can select a sanctioning body for your event.
Choose your organization from the dropdown (e.g., USAC, NABRA, USSS, USAT).
For help setting up specific sanctioning and license verification, follow the guides below:
One-day license fees (if applicable) can be entered here. The fee will automatically be added to the registration when a one-day license is selected.
Registration Page Setup
Upload a header logo (max 4MB).
Choose columns to show for each category:

Participant Limits:
Set a total event limit here, or
Use individual category limits in the Categories section.
Registration Settings

Participant Editing Options:
Yes: Participants can edit all their info.
Yes, except name: They can edit contact info or merchandise, but not name/category.
No: Only event directors can make changes.
Note: When selecting "No", participants cannot change categories themselves, they must contact the event director to do so.

Transfers
You can choose to allow participants to transfer their registration to another participant on their own. This reduces manual work and can include an optional transfer fee.

Event Refund Policy
Here, you must enter a refund policy to display to participants during registration.
Emails
Choose how often you receive registration summary emails
Decide whether to receive a confirmation email for each registration.
Promotions
Highlight your event on the athleteReg Event calendars for a $125 fee (deducted from your disbursement).

Preview Your Registration Page
Want to see how your event page looks? Click Preview Registration to run through registration as a trial participant, or Public Reg Page to preview the live registration page.
