Creating Your First Event
The first step to using any of the athleteReg sites is to create an event director account on that site.
Please note: each site has its own unique database; both event directors and participants will need to create a profile for each site they wish to use. Login information can be the same, but you’ll need to create a profile and then log on to each site.

Create new SkiReg event director account
To set up a new event on any site, perform the following steps:
1. Log in to your Event Director Account, click Create New Event.
2. Enter Event Details: Fill out your event details, including event basics, location, dates, contact info, sanctioning, registration settings, event refund policy, email preferences for registration summaries, fundraising, advertising options, and event cancelation protection.
Items with a red asterisk must be completed before saving the event, but most can be reviewed and updated at any point later on by clicking Event Setup > General Event Setup
3. Enter Payment Information
Once your event is created, you must select a payment method: Direct Deposit or Check.
- Direct Deposit: Enter your bank routing number and account number, then agree to the Direct Deposit Terms of Service.
- Check: Checks can be made payable to a club or organization. You can also provide a different name and address for check mailing.
To update or change your payment information later, navigate to Event Payment by clicking Event Setup > Event Payment
4. Create categories: Click Event Setup > click Category Setup. See this article: How to Set Up a Category
You must set up one category or merchandise item for your event to appear on any event calendar.
5. Preview your event: Use “Public Reg Page” or “Preview Event” to view your event as you work on it.
Once you have your event details are complete, your payment profile and tax information filled out, and at least one category, your event will be reviewed by athleteReg staff within 48 hours. If anything is missing or if our team has recommendations, you will be notified via email.
