Block pricing automatically adjusts the entry fee as the number of registrants increases as the event date approaches. Block pricing let you offer early-bird discounts or incentivize participants to register sooner.
Note: To automatically adjust entry fees as specified dates pass approaching the event date, set up a Fee Schedule.
Add Block Pricing (by Registration Count)
Log into your Event Director account and select your event.
On the left hand menu, click Category Setup.
Find the category to which you want to add block pricing and click Edit.
Scroll to the Additional Details section and toggle the Fee Schedule/Block Pricing section to the On position.
In the Fee Change Method field, select Block Pricing. Your base entry fee and base registration block is shown.
To the right of the base entry fee, click its corresponding Edit button.

In the How should we count registrations? drop-down menu, select one of the following:
In this Category - Registrations counted only for the category
In this Group Header - Registration counted only for the selected group
In this Event - Registrations counted for the entire event (all categories and groups)
In the Number field, enter the number of registrations at which you want to increase the fee.
In the New Entry Fee field, enter the new total amount of the changed entry fee. Do not enter the increase or decrease amount. For example, to increase the base entry fee of $100 by $50, enter $150.
Click Save. The new fee block is added and shown in the fee list.
Repeat the process for as many fee changes as you want to apply to your block pricing.
To edit a scheduled fee change, click its corresponding Edit button, make the changes, and click Save.
When you are finished adding the pricing blocks, click one of the green Save or Save Changes buttons.
Tip:
If all your categories share the same pricing and schedule, use the Apply this fee schedule to all categories button.
